January is a month full of re-thinking, re-trying and re-doing, my January is no different. After a full year as a virtual assistant, for authors I am using the upcoming year as motivation to find better ways to do business and serve my customers.
New Year’s Eve was spent planning and goal setting, complete with three notebooks, a journal and my daily planner, I decided what I would set out to do in 2018. One of the first things I decided was what my ‘word’ would be. I have heard so many good things about picking one word that represents what you would like the most, overall for a year. My word for the next year is organization, it is everything I’d like to accomplish, not only within my business, but within my personal life too. I strongly recommend trying it for yourself, even this small act helped me gain better perspective on what I want for my year.
Once I decided on my overall word, and goal it helped create a trickle down effect on what I wanted for the rest of the year. Some of my smaller goals include growing my Twitter accounts to one thousand followers and my Facebook page to 300 likes. I originally felt both of these goals were very foolish and unimportant but they each give me a starting point to work off of, when it comes to future goals.
This is just the beginning of what I want my 2018 to look like, but I’m sure the pieces of the puzzle will fit into place as the year leads on.
Let me know below what your 2018 looks like?
